I will add that a lot of editorializing can go on just by virtue of what a guy/girls has to play through or with. Interesting...

OK this is def overkill on the pedal front, I did a quick count of the pedals this guy owns, there are 111 in that chain with mammoth amounts of overlap. Here is the break down as best as i could work it out its not 100% accurate but it give an idea of the overlap going on with these pedals.

Just by looking at all these pedals and figuring what some of them cost. He has well over $12,000 in just pedals. Now either he has a suger mama, lives at home with parents and has a $50000+ year job, or he sold his good guitars and amps

from memory there are 3 types of big muff in there i cant be bothered looking for the fourth one

Well the big muff is a great fuzz but they're so cheap (I'm not complaining) that everyone has one.

yeah he's also got a lot of boss, guyatone, and mxr pedals as well. again, i'm not saying they're bad, some are decent, but you'd think with him being such a big pedal nut and all, that he would wanna get deep into the boutique thing.

In a Bass Player Mag he stated he likes his effects cheap and replaceable so that might be why you don't see $400 pedals in his rig.

hmm... Owning the pedals is one thing, hooking them all up and running that as a signal chain is another

Im all for owning and collecting. TB members like Jetpackbassist have in the vicinity of that amount of gear and don't get a hard time for it.

However, the signal chain shown here has a heap of overlap and is just ridiculous IMO.

Another example: I own quite a lot of clothing. Out of these clothes I wear some things on one day and others on another day. Its nice to have the choice. Also I can wear stuff that reflects how I feel for the day or what im doing for the day. I can wear any mix of these clothes day in day out an no one cares. Im sure though, if tomorrow I decided to go outside wearing all the clothes I own, Id look like a right knob. Someone would probably take great pleasure in pointing it out to me as well....

Having said that, each to their own....

Posting pictures of signal chains like that is bound to draw the crabs... I doubt the person would be too upset to find we are having a bit of a dig at them.

Hey man, it's fun to read your posts! Some of us have an articulate and wry angle on the English language.
