I'm taking my JO5 to Carl Pedigo next week Saturday to get Chi's installed.

Today I found out I may be getting one of my favorite basses I've ever owned back. After I sold it 3 years ago.

Its not a Lakland:eek::eek:, My beloved Warmoth Gecko(where the user name came from).
IF it happens, I am going to have the Chi "drop-ins" for the
55-01 put in it. The size is very close. Keeping fingers crossed

Got the JO5 CS back today. Carl did an awesome job on the install.

I just picked me up a pair of Chi-Sonics for a build I'll be doing after the new year. I'm hoping someone might help me make a template. I could really use a tracing that includes the five bridge screws and the pickup routes (at least the bridge pup).

Are these all identical, or is there a bridge pup and a neck pup?
I plan on using them with a VVT wiring schematic and a 3-way (Tele-style) selector switch to enable soloing on the fly. Anybody see any issues with that idea?
Is there a typical (or recommended) spacing?

The build will be two-piece alder, with a three-piece bookmatched koa top and back. Any thoughts are appreciated!

This bass is mine and it has been messing with my mind for quite a few weeks... It looks brilliant, the sound is absolutely awesome and the finish is top-notch, but....
My hands are wee bit too big. Everytime I play it, my left hands cramps up after about twenty minutes. Bummer. So guys; any advice?
I'll probably end up selling it...:crying:

Any interest in the Lakland 5 string basses? 35" scale and 19mm spacing...

Nobody in the Chi-Love club knows the answer here? If not, where's the best place to find the answer?

I am the lucky aquisitioner of the wonderful CHI-Sonic equipped 55- bass that was recently in TB classified.

It seems the bass has had the HB/SC switch moded to be a kill switch. Since I am already going to have to crack this dude open to get the SC mode back anyway, I am toying with the idea of swapping out the DPDT on-on switch for a three-way 4PDT on-on-on and wiring it Series HB/SC/Parrallel HB.

Have any of you CHI lovers toyed around with the humbuckers to see if there is a preference between series and parrallel?
