Is this what goes on in other parts of TalkBass? This thread makes me realize I need to step out of Luthier's Corner once in a while... Thanks contributors and trolls, for a great hour of catching up!

This is like..one-of-a-kind thread. It's epicness is unfathomable to all others. Here...we talk of sexy ladies and the instruments we all love. Why it hasn't come along sooner? Who cares! Cause I'm here..and deej is here..and the other Samantha..and all the older guys that make if flipping hilarious. Let us rejoice!

Easy on the 'older' guys now... I'm pushing 40. I drive a Forester AND a New Beetle, I love sexy ladies (esp the one I married) and basses so I'm pretty sure that makes me an honorary older lesbian bassist :)

Lol, like it was yesterday. 'Older' dudes in 1991 would talk about seeing Zep at the Garden, and I would think 'cool... But damn, you're OLD!' i recognize that feeling in the youngsters now when I talk about Sublime or Soundgarden or Janes Addiction. Damn, I'm OLD!

Absolutely. Sorry Sam but at 18 you're just a kid. Other Sam is that bit older which is nice. But Deej is a WOMAN... :)

I can honestly say in my entire history with the internet, going way back to usenet and even fidonet that no thread I have ever created has become this epic.

I would love to know who made that corset. It has a steel busk and I can't ever find them.

That would be Ms. Martha's Corset Shop in Atlanta. I worked at her booth at the Taboo show in Vancouver three years ago and was paid with the corset. She's online. I also get corsets from Felix and Kitty here in BC.

My big thing was figuring out how old I would be when the year 2000 hit.
