Works to have fun with them. The guitar teacher at my school told the improv class about it. Worked for him in the 80s, and it works now. Though, I wouldn't do it if they were TOO drunk, of course. I usually do it with my cheaper bass. You put it on the chick, stand behind her and play the bass. Takes a character judgment, too, since you want them to sit still for just a minute while you do YOUR thang. They will easily come to talk to you later that night.

Then again, have to make sure they don't despise you and are only trying to get the attention of one of the other bandmates.

Yup, I've used that move a time or two, and probably in a few of the same clubs as you (I gigged in Orlando for quite a while until I moved up here).

I stole it from a buddy in Jackson, MS.

See my problem with this is I wear my bass kinda high (sorta like Mark King) so it's hard to get a chick in and out easily.
Until I gots me an adjustable strap!!!!!:D

I use it when the hot ones jump on up!

This hottie shows up at a lot of my gigs and lets me pull that move every so often.......

Probably not, as the only gigging in Orlando I've gotten is jazz gigs with the upright. I did it with a country band in Jacksonville. I will have to use it again. Drives them crazy.

I bet. Oh, the trouble us musicians run into with relationships. ;) Another thing I learned: DON'T date the sound chick, no matter HOW hot she is!

I do too, but since I dig petite chicks, and I'm 6'6" tall, it doesn't really turn out to be too much of a problem. I expect to find it being a little tough to get it on and off the chick, but that's half the fun. If they're into you, they may be likening that to you undressing them.;)
