Okaaaay, well, there was a decent-sized crowd, as expected and some of them were of the good-looking female persuasion.

However, I wasn't quite able to capture many for posterity, as they seemed to be exclusively accompanied by hulking boyfriends.

You can imagine how that could have been awkward for me:

"Hello mate, just taking a pic of your girlfriend for the viewing pleasure of the fellas on Talk Bass".

Why not? Sometimes an odd twist like that takes them out of their planned defense (guys with hot girlfriends have to have planned defenses). Not to mention, sometimes even the truth can be a winning strategy!

Actually, it's even simpler than that. You don't need to explain any more than just to say to the couple you're taking gig pics for the band web site. The guy doesn't need to know he doesn't actually matter.

BTW, yes, mental note to yourselves, if you're out with your hot girlfriend and a band member with a camera says that to you, yeah, it's all about the girl, not you.
