I currently run a ccb with sbw gda and supernil E for strings... and a shadow sh951 with a custom mount for jack... as Velcro is a stupid mounting idea... I’m buying a cheap Chinese dpa knockoff to blend in some fingerboard noise... as the foam wrapped 57 works but is a little tacky even for me... any one tried this piece of crap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0738BJ44Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_yP92Bb9TFA8QD All I could find as one cellist that said they were ok... maybe I’ll make some sound clips... or maybe I should just keep it a secret if it sounds ok. I don’t want communist China getting all da paper yo
Here's the deal, I purchased an Ovid TBone from Thomann. It's similar to this, mine lasted about a year before it failed. My advice would be to get a used DPA 4099B. Because DPA recently redesigned the microphone, used ones are appearing in the TB Classifides. The outer sleeve of the cable on the DPA's is made of something similar to Kevlar so it's very durable. My take is that would be throwing $60.00 away, I did.[/QUOTE]
I saw a new review on Amazon about micing up my pbass... and only using the a & d strings. knew someone from here made it and I couldn’t help but lol
