Hey guys! thanks for all your help... however... we have encountered a new issue... he wants a 5 string!!!
so... again with the recommendations (price around £200)...
After liking the yamaha RBX 374 I looked at the 375 - anyone played one of these or has an opinion on it?

someone recommended ibanez... can you suggest a suitable model? he already has an ibanez guitar he likes a lot - do people generally like the same brand over different instruments?
But yeah hes got his mind set on getting a 5 string... Help!!!
