Modding a Bronco is fun and, relatively, cheap. I do it all the time. Here are some examples:

Dark Horse, I think this place really needs a thinline/hollow Tele bass.
That's my take in it. Just do it, brother!
Nice! Does the blue Jaguar-style one use the Bronco body, trimmed to shape, or is it a new body?
It's almost like I once had a build/mod thread here, but now it seems to have changed to Ponticats "Jaguar style" bass thread.
My intent wasn't to hijack the thread; just offer some inspiration.![]()
I'm subb'd to this, too. I like my Bronco a lot and have tried three different pickups in it - with info from Ponticat helping a lot.
I've never found the tuners to be anything but stable and dependable. I have no plans to change them.
I really like the direction you're going - the short scale neck on a Tele body would meet one of my GAS goals. Are you planning to buy a production body? Is there one that is a bolt-on for that neck?
That's bronco mania, absolutely outstanding, never even thought to mod one of those...LOL very cool Andy! I was going to use that neck with a Wenge top and backed tele body I have, but now I need to do something different...LMAO
I don't know...The poster board cutout is lookin' pretty cool!

I shot a bit of clear nitro on the neck just to seal in the amber. It will get a lot more clear coats. but as you can see, for a cheap neck it has some pretty nice looking wood -
