Chop Shop: Bronco Edition

BTW - earlier in this thread when I showed the Bronco with the Gretsch pickup (now one of my go-to basses, it's a sweetheart), someone mentioned that a humbucker ought to be a factory option.

Now it is.

The Squier Mikey Way bass is a metalflake finish, but it comes with a factory humbucker and has a much different sound than other similar basses.

Here's the factory stock shot:

I saw one and had to have one! So I got it. Here it is next to the Bronco:

It's a heavier body than the Bronco, but it's a new type of sound for anything with a Mustang-style body.

Here is mine.
I put a vintage 1960's Victoria Bass pickup (basically Tiesco).
New fender paddle style tuners only slightly smaller than the actual Fender ones.
added a thumb rest.
and Jazz bass bridge cover so i could stuff i nice piece of foam in it.
I painted the pickgaurd with black gloss model car paint.
switched out the knobs for these gibson style ones.
Just ordered a new custom headstock decal, will probably refinish the neck when i get it.
