I saw the Los Lonely Boys on TV and was surprised at how many chords Jojo uses in the songs. I like his style.

thanks for the kind words. I have a new book coming out on Mel Bay entitled "The Art of Solo Bass". It should be released any day now. I will have a limited amount of signed copies if anyone is interested

Hey does anyone have any specific song with bass chords in? I'm desperate to try and learn but all I can come up with is Orion by Metallica and I don't even like that song. You could say I was very ignorant. Thanks

  11. I've worked through the Mike Dimin chord book as well. It's a great place to start. I flip out the guitarist in one of my bands when I start playing 'Changes', and he solos over it!

    Jeff Berlin, definitely.

Also, Michael Manring is certainly capable of applying chords to his music.

Jeff Berlin, Anthony Jackson, Chuck Rainey (who, according to many, was one of the first to play 3 voices chords on the bass), Adam Nitti...Steve Bailey plays chords with perfect tune on an unlined fretless, and that amazes me...
