Chorus pedal with stereo input as well as output: does it exist?

What the title says, is there such an animal? And if not, is there a technical reason?

For some of my setup I run things in stereo and having chorus pedals with a single input makes this difficult.

Source Audio Gemini has the option stereo in and out as well as other routing options, most of their offerings also do.

ZoomMS70 CDR+ and CDR also can do stereo in/out but some of the effects do combine inputs to mono.

It's not super common because the original analog choruses created the stereo outs by sending either clean to one output and the delayed/modulated signal to the other output or sometimes a different modulated signal mixed with clean to each output. So stereo chorus as an effect was about creating a stereo widening effect out of a mono input.

There are lots of digital chorus pedals or multiFX that can process a stereo input, what exactly they are doing internally may differ. Lots of stereo reverb and delay effects for example blend the two inputs into a mono reverb/delay algorithm then mix the separate clean signals with that blended tone depending on the output. Presumably many stereo chorus units do the same- so your modulated signal would be the same blended signal on both sides (possibly with one run out of phase with the other in the case of the classic Roland/Boss stereo chorus effect) but with the clean signals remaining split- I suspect that is what the Boss DC-2W does with a mono input. You may have to dig a bit to see if there are stereo reverb chorus units that actually use two separate chorus lines rather than blending into a mono signal if that bothers you.

Stereo chorus requires two of everything, which increases cost and complexity. Chorus is most often the source of the stereo split so mono in/stereo out is common.

I dunno man I guess don't ask for the reason why something is uncommon if you don't want someone to tell you why its uncommon.

Just found this video on the Boss DC-2W Waza Craft Dimension C pedal. First 4 minutes is info about it I already know. Then the bass demo of it comes in which is what I wanted to see. I have one of these that I got from Musician's Friend for free, they shipped it in an order for two 210 cabs and 4 speakon cables that they left one of the cables out of by mistake. They told me to keep the pedal, shipped me my missing cable, and refunded me for all 4 cables as a gesture of good customer service I guess.

I use it very sparingly and on stuff by Pink Floyd, Alana Parson's Project, etc... but want to use it more.

Funny thing is I have a Dimension C, and while it sounds cool, it doesn't have the depth of my favorite chorus pedal, my old Arion SCH-1, which has the standard mono-in/stereo-out setup.

Don't own it but Boss MD-200 should have stereo in (and provides also flanger, phaser, tremolo, vibrato...)
