Chorus pedals for Bass

They did a brown CE-2?

I thought all of the BOSS chorus pedals were a shade of light blue. I know the OC-2 was brown. But I’ve never seen a brown chorus. BOSS color codes their pedals last I heard. The only exceptions are their drive/dirt boxes which seem to have widely varying colors, although the ODs seemed to have finally settled on yellow.

Boss did a run of brown bass pedals in the late 80s early 90s

I still use the Flanger BF-2B and Parametric EQ PEQ-B3

The Para is IMO an extremely undervalued pedal

Another vote for the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe. It does exactly what you need at a fair price.

The Iron Ether Polytope was made with bass in the cranium, esp with the HPF that helps manage the depth of seawave swirl. In some ways it's an unorthodox type of chorus, but lordy can it make choruses chorus, and it's just a ton of fun, and also sounds completely magnificent in the mildest of barely detectable settings as well as absolute BADTRIPHELPME settings.

It doesn't replicate classic chorus pedals but instead allows for enough (but not bewilderingly TOO much) control to get a huge amount of sounds. Yerp, I own one. Yerp, I use it for both mild and wild. Often, two knob turns are all it takes.

I have enjoyed using my MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe. It is easy to get good usable sound, and not particularly expensive.

Check out the Eden I-90 chorus. controls are: speed, depth, low cut, mix. There's a good demo of some of the different sounds it makes at the link below. It can even do vibrato. You will get tired of hearing that same pattern over and over (except at the end), but it demonstrates the differences and shows the setting used. Oh yeah, street price is $149.95.

I might have one for sale. I like it, it sounds awesome, but the volume drop is something that keeps me from using it. If it was an always on type of pedal I might use it more.

I want to get a chorus pedal to use with my fretless bass. I am WAY out of touch with what's popular these days with chorus pedals. The last time I used such a pedal was in the 80s and early 90s, when we used these things...

I remember loving these things, especially with a Jazz bass and a lot of slap (we called it thumbing and popping then) and to the point of making myself turn it off.

Apparently, it's not made anymore and they are hideously expensive in the usual places. Its chorus effect was perfect with the knobs set around noon, not too deep or swirly and with a nice character.

I would love to have one of these at a decent price. Otherwise, what is popular with chorus pedals these days?

I just bought an MXR M234 analog chorus from a guitar playing friend. I'm certainly no chorus connoisseur, but I like how it sounds for bass.

Ya know, I fully realize that I may not like what’s popular, but I didn’t see the harm in asking simply as a place to start looking. After all, I’m a guy that likes my Stingray 5-string basses with 3-band preamps and ceramic pickups as well as both pickups of a Jazz bass at 100%. Not popular opinions with many players at all. So believe me, I know very well what it’s like to prefer things that aren’t popular.

But not knowing, I gotta start somewhere. So yeah, it what’s popular does matter (which may be an unpopular opinion in and of itself...).

Yeah, it comes with the power supply of its own and can be hooked up to a board with a shared power supply of 12V up to I think it was 18V. Not sure.

Used to be you could ask a question about that on the Eden Forum, but Marshall turned that forum off a few months back. You could IM @Bassmann1968 and ask him. He was one of the moderators and has at least one of just about everything they've ever made.

The Keeley Seafoam+ Chorus is very nice. There is a dip switch just for bass guitar that keeps the low end solid. Plus, has 3 modes to choose from and a Mix to make it as wet or dry as you like!

i never had any luck with this pedal as it definitely loses low end even in bass mode

this IS a great pedal but significantly more pricey than anything out there.

there are a lot of nice bass choruses. i choose for bass chorus a Walrus Julia but not only. Strymon Deco, Mobius, Meris Polymoon and Alexander - F13Neo i use all of them for a chorusy tones.
