Anthony, I want to personally thank you for highlighting a player and playing and music. So much of tb is now about gear. People are losing sight of the craft en masse.

Notice that he plays the holes as loud as the notes. Our instruments should not necessarily be making sound from beginning to end. Silence is key to groove.

At this point, I am much more interested in being a better player than buying more gear. In my old age, I am trying to improve as a musician. I have no desire to pile up gear I play poorly. Really learning how to properly execute even “simple” bass lines is a real education.

Agree, in the Warren Huart video he runs scales and intervals with remarkable smoothness and accuracy!
