It's that time of year. Christmas is upon us once again

Or, if you prefer, and I don't want to leave anyone out of these end of the year celebrations: Happy Winter Solstice, Saturnalia, Kwanzaa, Yule, Mōdraniht, Dong Zhi, Shab-e Yalda, Soyal, Hogmanay, St. Lucia's Day, and my favorite-name for an end-of-the-year celebration: Dies Natalis Solis Invicti (Birthday of the Unconquered Sun)

Do you have any big plans this season? Any big plans foisted upon you that you are now committed to? Perhaps instead you get to relax?

I'm in the shop switching tires, tubes and cassette over to a new set of rims. Touring bike, rim brakes, etc. With a few Jack single barrel barrel proofs under my belt, I'd say it's going hunky dorry.

Christmas Eve is just us with our kids, their spouses, and the grandkids. That will be our highlight for the season. We all live in the same town so no big travel plans which is great.

A simple Christmas is all I yearn for nowadays. Actually, I think I've always kind of felt that way. As I get older, I'm leaning more and more on my faith during the Christmas season as well.
