Cigars ?

Online sellers like Famous Smoke Shop and Cigar.com are my usual supplier.
You can get very good smokes in the $4 - $8 range. I usually prefer full-bodied smokes, most often maduros but there are amny of all strengths that are very enjoyable.
Some of my favves:

Romeo y Julieta - Romeo (churchill)
CAO - Brazilla Samba (torpedo)
Alec Bradley - American classic blend
Greycliff - 1666
Rocky Patel - Sun Grown, The Edge lite, 1992, others
5 Vegas - Gold, Classic, 'A'
Cigar.com - house blends (sevral different blends)
I like many different Gurkha blends but their quality control has been too inconsistant lately that I have quit smoking them, they cost too much for that.

There's a small cigar and tobacco shop a few minutes from where I work that has a really good selection of different cigars, cigarillos, pipe tobacco and roll-your-own cigarette tobacco, which is where I get cigars usually. Other than that, like people have said, ordering them online through large scale distributors is also a good bet.

I'm wondering where you get your cigars, lol.

I have to disagree, you get what you pay for...

Yes, some cigars are overpriced, like Cohiba and some montechristo, but things like a Bolivar Belicoso fino, or a partagas P2 or D4 are in the 20$ range and are classic very nice cigars.

I still have not smoked a Dominican, or Hondurian cigar that compares to those.

I do agree there is a time and a place for everything though!
When i was in argentina i bought a bunch of argentinian cigars for 2$ a piece and they were very smokable.

It also comes down to what you like! I find most non cubans very weak, even the full bodied ones!
I would rather smoke one very nice cigar than two or three average ones.

Meh, different strokes I guess. I've had both of those brands, and while I don't disagree at all that the partagas in particular are great cigars, I get just as much enjoyment out of the cigars I listed at their price point as I do the more pricey sticks, and I just can't bring myself to drop $20+ on a cigar, unless it's for a good cause or a very limited run or something like that (and the later I still have a hard time doing).

I think you and I also like different cigars as well, I tend to go for a full flavor, but not necessarily full bodied, if that makes any sense. I like cigars that let you know they're there, and have a good taste to them, but aren't particularly harsh or overly full bodied, which is why, for my tastes, the Tatuaje is the perfect cigar. Glad you like your smokes though!

Just received my Invalid Link Removed and have been thoroughly enjoying myself. I've always enjoyed a good cigar, and if I was in the right part of town I would always stop and pick-up a stick or 2. I never got very serious about them until now. For some reason I just started having cravings for a good cigar, and once I got my hands on one, it just hit the spot. Now I sit here seasoning my new humidor and trying to convince myself not to smoke another, I've already had 2 since I got home from work. Tomorrow I got a 5 pack of Graycliff 1666's and have some more bids going for some Padron's.

Whats strange is how my need for a cigarette has now transferred over to cigars, a nice stick is just so much more of a pleasant experience than a cigarette that my poor Camel filters are being neglected.

Well butt. Apparently a normal cigar is pretty cheap. I've been buying the more expensive ones, more or less, because I was an idiot. That said, the more expensive ones were better than the $9 one I had tonight. The smoothness and ease to smoke is very noticeable at that price point. Taste, however, was the same if not a slight nod towards the cheaper blend.

I was a two pack a day smoker I quit 6 years ago once I started smoking cigars . To sit down and smoke a good cigar two times a day is very peaceful rather then running out side every 45 min for a few drags of a cigarette.

Woke up and decided to finally pull the trigger on a 5 pack of Rocky Patel Decade Torpedos for 53$.

Can't lie, I'm a little giddy.

Just a couple days ago my 10 cigar Gurkha sampler I got for 30$ came in also, and I'm trying to be patient and let them sit in the humidor for at least a couple weeks before I start smoking em', but it's proving to be tough...

As the true thrasher I am, I prefer gas-station cigars :bassist:

In all seriousness, I do prefer a good cigar from time to time.
But when the festival summer arives, it's cheapos all the way (who cares how good it is when you're drunk... am I right :p)

I also have a tradition with a good friend of mine to buy 2 realy good ones when our birthdays come up (one week apart) and then go out to the local bar here to sit in the 2 lounge chairs they got in the smoke area and enjoy them with a good whiskey.
