Cincy GTG 2013

I did a GTG in Atlanta at a venue (the FiveSpot) back in 2004 and the great thing is that it was during the day, clinics, jam sessions and it had a full bar! The only down side is that outside folks were able to come in and steal a bass that is laying out on display.

I'd be all for a GTG with this format. However, we'd need more time to get it together. If the group is interested in this, we can push the GTG out to late May or June, and work on expanding the format. That is, if the group here is interested.

I'll look for some feedback on what folks would like to check out as it gets closer.

I think having it a bar or venue might be cool, but there is something to be said for keeping it private as well. (Wow, that was helpful, eh?)

If it's a matter of a fee to keep private I'd throw in a few bucks.

I agree with the above, I could kick in some funds or pay a fee to keep the event private.

As much as I like the bar ideal remember we need enough outlets to cover all the rigs that will show up. Thats what made the school such a great place we used the computer lab. Tons of outlets!

True. Outlets would be a concern. Up up for wherever and the 14th can work for me.

It's only been a few days. Usually when we plan these things it's a couple of months in advance so people can arrange their schedules.

One thing I've learned is that no matter what day you pick for something like this, there's at least one person that won't be able to come. The trick is to just understand that and pick a date anyway. That said, i think the 28th is good on my calendar (for now)
