Cirrus sound clip... Ping!

Apple Garageband isn't available for Windows, vene... There's a program called Acid that is a Windows app that is often compared to Gargeband... I don't know much about it but lots of folks around here do...

Well, since this thread's been revived, here's another little bit that was recorded around the same time. Mostly the Cirrus with a little bit of my cheapo Yammy fretless P thrown in. Nothin' too special (my same 'ol slap licks), but I like the vibe of it. I posted it when I first laid it down but it fell off the first page pretty quick so here's another chance to hear it...

:o

Where do you suppose that ping is comming from on the Cirrus? That seems to be a fairly unique sound. Is it the pickups? Seems like a preamp wouldn't really do that.
I really need to decide between a Bongo and a Cirrus.

I just picked up a Cirrus 5 and I agree with secretdonkey that there is a ping in the sound, but it's a beautiful thing. I think the Cirrus line sound like a cross between a Status bass and a Musicman Sterling. Either way I really dig what these things are doing. Here is a sound clip going direct into a SB Audigy2 with my Cirrus 5, btw it has a wenge top.
