I know that there are guitar combo amps (Fender, for one) which allow you to unplug the amplifier section from the speaker(s) and plug a different amplifier into the speaker(s).
Are there any Class D bass combos with this feature?
I'm a little obsessive about bringing spares of everything to gigs, and for that reason I shy away from combos. Instead, I bring one cab and two heads.
But if could bring a combo and have the option of using, say, an Elf head as my backup, it would cut down on the load-ins and load-outs.
Two-bass gig bag in one hand, combo in the other, and backpack with Elf, cables, tuner, DI box, vocal mic, sheet music, gaff tape, etc. on my back. (And one more trip for the mic stand, music stand and guitar stands.
)
Anyone?
Thanks!
