Smaller. I think were are heading there anyway. I.E. The Trace Elliot ELF with double the wattage (400w-500w) would be nice. But seriously, how much smaller do we really need to go? Most Class D amps are 3lb-6lbs. We're seeing smaller powered subs and mains/monitors for PA applications which is great for bars/restaurants/clubs.
I agree with an above poster regarding volume. There really need to be a cap put on some of the ridiculous volume some bands put out. Seriously...1000+watts?? Metal bands.....loud just to be loud because it's a "thing"?? We don't need any more wattage. Do we need to give bands a reason and the means to be even louder?!
Find other things to incorporate into amps. I like the idea of DSP with saveable 'scenes' for different venues. Maybe wireless capability built in and sell transmitters as accessories.
