Classic amplification ric wiring help

Has anyone wired one of these? 3 wires the bare is obviously ground the other 2 wires are orange and white. Is there an extra ground and which is hot? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Three wires almost always means a separate ground wire for shielding. The bare is for shielding, and is connected to the pickup chassis. The two colored wires are the ones connected to the coil. Having a separate shield ground wire allows other wiring options, such as series or phase reversal, without impacting the shielding.

That doesn't look like a pickup chassis wire imo looks like a standard ground

Where does the other end of the bare wire connect?

I can't tell. There is a wire on the back of the chassis but it's a single strand wire

If you have a multimeter you can check for continuity between each of the wires and the chassis.
