When I think classy, I get the idea of some stuffy old school bassist die hard playing simple progressions for a lounge singer.
A high gloss, simple painted, gold hardwared bass with clean lines and a spotlessly clean look.
That is certainly not my cup of tea, but I believe has its merits and its places.
This is probably the classiest bass I've ever seen.

when i think classy basses i think simple. nothing mindblowing or exotic like say, an alembic or a thunderbird or a BassLab
. When i think classy, i think of jazz or a p. Ash body, no colour. maybe a tort guard. real classy!

Have TBC recently changed the J style 4 string's pickguard shape?
I remember the darker contrasting timber covering most of the top of the bass. I didn't like it.
That thing is hot!
I'm going to look up TBC again!
EDIT: Ahh - I see...it's the AP-400 I don't like much with the huge pickguard. The JT-400 JJ or SS looks sweet
