Clean Hands?

I don't necessarily wash my hands every time I'm about to play, but I definitely do when my hands are dirty. Basically the same as my eating habits.

I always wash my hands and I use Chops Pre Play also.

What is Chops Pre Play? First time I've heard of it.

I learned from my job in the food industry to wash my hands up to my elbows. I'm not OCD, but it definitely helps to wash hands after touching door handles in a bar, moving amps left in a garage, moving snares/toms/kicks/hi-hats, and shaking hands of the musicians who just finished playing on stage. I do this after the gig too so I don't feel so grimy.

Just as importantly, ANYONE ELSE who handles my bass must have clean hands. In fact the first thing I will ask them is 'Are your hands clean?'.

I seldom wash hands before playing. I do wash after eating and after elimination.
