Goo Gone cleans off most sticker adhesives.
Goo Gone should do it, or naptha, aka lighter fluid.
There are different formulations of nail polish remover, and (depending on the finish) some may remove more than just the adhesive.

If there are still stickers, warming with a hair dryer should help make them easy to peel off. If it is just the glue, WD40 works great and won't harm 99% of finishes.
Naptha. You likely don't have a bottle laying around, but WD40 and lighter fluid are basically naptha in a small can. It's a lot less polar than the isopropyl alcohol. Who knows which will work better? Between one or the other or both, you should get it done

Goo Gone can leave a residue that I think can then be removed with mild detergent (never tried that on a bass though).

If the surface isn't physically delicate but I worry chemicals might damage the finish, I use masking tape. I rub it down a bit then pull it off and each time more glue comes off because it sticks to the tape more than the surface. Obviously I don't do this where the adhesion of the glue to the finish is stronger than the adhesion of the finish to the object!
I would not use anything that has a solvent as it could affect the finish. An effective sticker gum remover is mayonnaise. First remove all the paper part of the sticker that you can to expose the gum of the sticker. Then put a good coat of mayo on it and let it sit for a bit, like 30 minutes. Rub it off with a soft rag. Repeat until it's all gone. You can make a sandwich with the mayo while your waiting for it to soften the gum.
