I was already interested in bass for its deep "doomy" sound as I called it then, I was about.... 13? I heard it in old Greenday songs and thought it sounded cool. But when I heard "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" I thought: You can do THAT with a bass?!
from then on I was hooked, I wanted a bass and i wanted to play like Cliff. Sence then I've discovered technically better players like Les Claypool and Victor Wooten, but i'll never stop loving and envying Cliff's sound and style. I wish i could afford a Rickenbacker...
