Double Bass Clip on Tuner Problems

I use a Peterson strobo soft app on my iPhone and think its great but it isnt very useful at venues where there is noise. Does anybody know if the is a gizmo available that I can actually attach to the iphone which will allow me to plug directly into it?

I've tried several too and usually find that the E-string is the hard one to tune. I like the Miesel MCT-8L best because it locks in quickly. Some of the others took WAY too long to register the pitch. The 8L still has trouble with the E-string but my habit as of late is to tune the rest, then find D on the A-string and move my finger over to the same spot on the E-string. Works fast, and reliably. Harmonics are a good option too I expect. Hope that helps.

I am trying to find a clip on style tuner that really works for the URB. I find them very convenient to use on a gig. The problem is that I can't find one that works reliably. Maybe I just haven't found the sweet spot for locating the tuner. I've tried various locations on the bridge with marginal success. There always seems to be a dead spot where at least one string doesn't register.

I am the tuner fanatic...so my buddies call me "TunerBoy" I own about 15 tuners. My latest find that I purchased on Amazon is the GoGo TT-1 Clip-On Tuner. For $29 it does the job well. 2 thumbs up.
I also like the Intellitouch PT-10 series...excellent tuner.
I purchased the Snark SN-2 but the low B was wavering too much but Ok on the rest of the strings. The non clip tuner that I used for long which is a non clip on was the TU-12. They dont make them anymore but was excellent tuner
