I found the same; in fact, the new micro pretty much wouldn't work on my Fender Ps and Jazz.

Biggest problem with a Snark?
Your kid will borrow it.
I have (had) a red one for ages; easy to find in dim light and tracks very well for what it is.
Stupid kids.
THE POWER BUTTON IS HIDDEN! It won't turn itself on, it is much more rugged, very legible on foggy stages, pretty compact, grabs the B string just fine, and its cheap too. Better on batteries than any other tuner I've ever used.
