It's his standard body shape, and standard headstock shape, but everything else about it is customized to my specs. I held the neck in my hands, and he just nailed the profile and radius!

Even more beautiful than I thought it would be! The pick up covers will have inlays of his logo as well. That's what he's doing today. No stain or color is being added. Just a clear coat and that's it!

I have to admit... that's a good looking bass. I was thinking about odering one for my birthday... but I prefer to play before I pay.

I hope to be able to play one one day...

Thanks! He chose some really nice pieces, and he holds the wood planks up against a wall and taps them before choosing a suitable piece. He demonstrated that to me, and I could clearly hear a nice little ring when he tapped the wood.

If you ever come to Nashville, let me know. You can try out mine! I had him wind the pickups so they're a little darker sounding than most active systems. I wanted the ability to roll off all the treble if need be. It will still get plenty of top end if I want it, though.

He definitely does great work. He even drove an hour to let me put my hands on the neck and make sure the profile was right. I've only met him that one time, but he was very nice to me. I haven't detected any personality issues with my interactions with him. He's been really easy to work with on this build. He is from Poland, so his English isn't perfect, but we definitely understand each other. He's been very driven to please me as far as what I want with this bass. The pickup logos are only on one other instrument he's built. He was happy to include those when I requested them. He did a great job on them!

My bass exists and I have held it in my hands for all of the posters in the other thread. I have pictures of every step of my build so far, and I see no evidence of him using a cnc machine. When I had the rough cut body in my hand, it was obvious that a computer didn't do it. I am doing business with him and have had no problems. I will not post in the other thread because I don't know what happened with that situation. I will relay my experiences here.
