Interesting that neither has pickguards OR is that he last thing to be added in final assembly OR were they ordered that way ?

I like a pickguard

Both basses are getting pickguards, just not installed yet.

Yeah - I love how even though it's in the background and it's shaded from the light, you can see that 3T Sunburst just GLOWING!

Believe me, I know and I don't take it for granted... I've been coming to work at 6 am so I can get off early enough to have about 4 hours at the shop... It's 30 miles from me which can sometimes take over an hour with traffic... But it's all worth it!

I agree with you on that! I would do the same thing.

I would never photograph a bass on a bright blue background. Totally distracts from the color of the bass.

Yeah, I gotta' go with this too. I really feel the best is a median neutral color, like a middle gray.

My carpet is a good bright/dark level, but it's generally a beige color, so while it's not bad, it's not optimally neutral in hue, which also generally creates white balance issues I have to take time to correct... if I'm not feeling too lazy to do so, which is most often.

I've seriously thought about getting some gray material to use as a backdrop for future stuff.

Seriously, strong backgrounds like that are great for artistic impact, but then you have to have different colors for differing subject colors... some bass colors would look horrid on an emerald green lawn (IMHO).

WAAAAAIT a minute... paint my grass gray!! Heck it's all dormant, brown, and crappy looking now anyway, right?

This looks a bunch like this \/ but is a bit tough to tell against that blue background.

One difference that I notice is the bass in the first pic has a black A-C logo, and the bass in the 2nd pic has a white logo.
