Thank you guys.. Yes i am very much looking forward to playing this one... And it sure will be pretty. Jimmy told me it will be a Bass Player Live . I dont think my gigging schedule will allow me to be there this year... But the bass will,
So dont get it all greasy. Wipe your hands before playing it fellas..:D

No Bent plate on this one...

Bernie -It will be Sonic Blue.. matching headstock /Parchemnt PG... Blocks Binding right now.. May go dots.. I better call Jimmy before he does the final trimming.
Kirk if you say DN, nitro, bent plate, matching headstock I may cry:crying:

Yes you guys will get to mess with it before i do.. It seems that happens with all my Allevas.. they go to the show first, then to me.. Maybe i need to plan my delivery dates better.;)

PS.. I fixed my typo in your name in my previous post. Sorry. Im laying down wit h my laptop. Sick today so staying low.
That's gonna be friggin great!

If it's going to BPL, I'm assuming it will be done by the end of the month?

If so, almost there!

Sonic blue oh no!

There is a picture that I saved on my home computer of Jimmy playing an LG4 sonic blue matching headstock.

I think this is the same bass

Personally I'd pass on the blocks, I can't imagine chewing up that DN board.

No apologies are necessary, Kirk! Hope you feel better.

Blocks and binding or dots and binding will be great with that bass. It's tough to decide between the two. But either will look great.

This is as good a time as any for this question.

What do you guys consider to be the most vintage looking or fits a vintage bass the best?

Dots
Dots & Binding
Blocks & Binding

I think all three work well in their own way. It's a tough decision.

Yeah is gonna be Dots.

If that was a NAMM 2008 bass in your photo.. I played that bass.. and i wish i had it... One of the best feeling and lightweight JJ i played in a l9ong time.

Wow, that thing is beautiful!

BTW - suprised how many pics I found at INTL dealers when searching google images. Tons of basses we haven't posted up...

I pretty much no if I order another bass from Jimmy it will be: LG5, DN board, sonic blue nitro finish, bent plate bridge.

I haven't been able to come to grips with the amount of money I'd loss by selling my current LG5, paying new prices and waiting another year:eek:
