be careful with home owners insurance.
many of those guys only cover it for personal use, in your home.
leave the house to go earn a paycheck with it, and it's not covered.

i used to use these guys:

but found it a little more effective to add whats called, oddly enough, "an inland marine policy," thru my homeowners provider (american family) that provides an umbrella of specified dollar amount coverage.

+1 Homeowners will only cover damage in the home, which is highly unlikely. Also, if you file a schedule C (i.e., you play professionally), then the instruments are considered part of a business, and might not be covered by homeowners anyway.

Everyone just be careful because if something happens to your gear that is covered under home owners insurance, and they find out that you make money playing music (making you a professional and your gear business equipment) then home owners can deny your claim.

The best I have found is clarionins.com if you plan on traveling as a professional musician. I think that if you are not making money playing, and just traveling with your instrument for pleasure, then homeowners would work fine.

here's to hoping we NEVER need these insurance policies:smug:

Hey Caner ( now I am spelling the name correctly ;) ) so that is your beautiful white 9-11 bass posted days back. Yeah I should have got that it was Turkish and not German.:D

This time of the year makes me very missing your country and that Black Sea area. Keep funkin' on the ALLEVA's dude :hyper:

He hand drew the Towers in his art program and the Laser inscribed it on the Neck Plate..

Thats not an LM but my friend's (Caner) RA5 with a temp. black dot neck.

It is definitely an RA and sporting temporarily a black-dots neck. Although I dig the simplicity, I think it's gonna look killing with the black block and binding gloss neck, well Mitch can attest to that;) Jimmy tells me it is 9lbs, more to come after I play it....

The vintage sounds pretty good on my RA5, little more open and punchy, but I have the Hipshot on now for a bigger bottom end. Either one is cool depending on your taste.

Hey Caner,

9 pounds ? Pretty much right in the pocket . Mine is 9 1/2 approx with the Hipshot ( 4 ounces heavier?) for comparison so its rather close.

The iGigs are nice.... kind of halfway between a standard bag and a hybrid, and lots of storage space. VERY nice case for luthier to use as an OEM case.

Definitely a LOT better than the original thin (logo'd) gig bags he used to ship in, but I wish they weren't as heavy as they are.

+1 Makes a bit of sense on the RA, since that early 70's sort of thing sits a bit closer to what most feel is a sort of 'vintage' vibe. For the LM, that later 70's thing is all about big bottom and grind IMO.

..and yes, aged white is punchier in the mids than other colors IMO.
