By the way guys, the CAOJ bass (Tom Barney prototype) that Rufus Philpot is playing in the pics is available.

Specs are: Alder body, Indian Rosewood board, 18 mm string spacing, 70's pickup spacing. The biggest thing about is it has an asymetrical neck profile, thick/regular on the bass side and thin on the treble side. An MTD-style if you will, but with a little steeper curve. Rufus loved it, he thought it was very easy to pull off a lot of his faster licks.

EDIT:
Other available basses:
Black Tom Barney prototype - Alder body, Maple board w/ blocks and binding, 18 mm spacing, 70's pickup spacing.
Dark Metallic Blue LM4 Deluxe - Ash body, Maple board w/ blocks and binding (satin finish front and back), no pickguard, BadAss bridge.
Plum Crazy LG4 - see website.
Sunburst LG4 stack knob - passive - built for Bobby Vega at NAMM this past January.

Get a hold of Jimmy if you're interested in anything.

Reggie Hamilton was there.. so he had his Signature Fender bass or the Alleva Bobby Vega bass to play into a REDDI then an Averson Headphone amp.. $$$$$$ headphone amp... That is the setup that will be at the Alleva NAMM booth.

Then you could also play your bass through one of the A-Design Preamps combos... I have the GOLD preamp in the one rack that i use for home.
But he also had that running into a 500 series API type EQ or Comp.. or Electrodyne EQ... Which is very very cool EQ!!!
IF you want to start with the REDDI going into one of the pres you could do that too.. then that fed the Poweramp then a Fender 610 can which was Reggies..
Pretty nice sounding 610 by the way...
You pretty much try any combo of Peter Montessis Preamps etc that you wanted.. Very laid back and very cool.. except for the noise level from other vendors.
If you want a huge sounding studio quality rig.. The A design syuff could really meet that mark easily in my opinion..
SInce his 500HR is a API 500 series compliant rack unit.. Put a preamp and EQ or pre and comp in the powersupply rack then send to your poweramp of choice.. Great gig rig and GREAT recording rig in one rack space.

Now that is some eye candy!

How was the signal chain setup for those?

you mean like this:eek:
I did the best i can to blur... not as bad as the stuff at Chick at gigs thread...

Is this the screen saver thing? He had me flip him off at NAMM so he could take a picture of me doing so. He was doing that with a bunch of folks so he could make a screen saver of people flipping him off. HILARIOUS!!!

(tho it was kinda' uncomfortable to flip off such an icon!) :D

What a totally cool dude... seriously... :)
