Paul Turner's LG5

Hi, guys...

Jamiroquai played in Amsterdam on Oct 29th.Here you can watch Mr Turner and his new LG5... He used it for most of the gig, his 66' Jazz was grabbed for two songs, I think.

and this gig can be downloaded, here

Enjoy! :bassist:

I love Jamiroquai they're the greatest....but I thought Paul rocked a white '78 jazz?

In the trend of video posting, my band Nyle vs the Naysayers just signed with Dame Dash's DD172 group Creative Control and we have our own web show now on their website which means awesome quality clips of my KBP5! Enjoy

Dang. Turner is such a monster. Love it.

Hi, Mitch. That's great quality video and the sound is PHAT, cheers!

Love the tone on the KBP5... Hope there's more coming:bassist:

Paul has some old Fender basses... some of them are oly white jazz, but I'm almost sure this one with binding & dots and matching headstock is his 66' Jazz, I remember he said somewhere.

I have seen him playing another oly white jazz with maple fretboard and pearl blocks, maybe that's his 78'?

haha thanks dude! I mean, I'm sure by now Paul's got a nice little vintage Fender collection....I first heard of Alleva-Coppolo in 2005 when BP did an article on Paul and he discussed the AC preamp that Jimmy installed in his white '78
jazz and I think it's the one with the blocks you're talking about!

How do I get information on Alleva Coppolo basses?

I went to their website and barely any of the links wotk for me. The descriptions, options and the price link do not show up or work at all.

Are they still in business building basses?

Or could it be problem with my browser?

With a small boutique builder like this, it is ALWAYS better to call. Jimmy is great to deal with, and will answer all your questions.

He is so 'still in business building basses' that it will take you about a year to get one from order:D

i think there are several is the classifieds section here, available now!

Jimmy runs a small shop. It would be nice if he had a better website, but, I'm glad to have him spending time building great instruments. He likes talking to customers on the phone, and really is a great guy. Call him!

Paul is one of my favorite players. He just grooves.
Can you guys check out the video at 15:50 it looks like he has a stack knob on the bass. I know he likes to run it passive but it appears to be a stacked knob. Just curious.

Also, he is grooving with a pick at around 18:00 minutes.
He has a good use of effects in these tunes. Just the right amount on some tunes.
