Too I can hear the difference usually between a 4 and a 5 too, cuz I find the 4's breathe more and the attack /release is quicker than on a comparable 5.

Just plain physics I guess. Noticed that about 8 years ago on a CELINDER clip. The same player sizzled on a 4 string ( tone and playability ) then his tone and playing was considerably more weighted down, almost sluggish release and certainly no sizzle when he went to a 5 string.

In any case that is a killin AC video.
