Yea Mitch- its a grey RA TB...

sick....I think Jimmy should just make the "TB" thing just a standard option for any bass....after playing this TB LM5 I almost can't go back to my other ACs! There's definitely something to this 18mm thing

I bet! It's not just the 18mm spacing either....it's those smaller pickups! that's the secret....totally changes your feel and just brings everything in closer....suddenly 19mm spacing w/ standard size pickups feels bulky and slow....Rick what does it say on the headstock of that TB RA5?

Why the sealed cover over the J pickup on the P/J bass is it an AC pickup or ?

Good times at the AC booth... I really didn't get much chance to hang there and play stuff, but it looks like Jimmy is yet again expanding his options. It'll be interesting to see which ones land and do well for him.

Kirk, always a pleasure to see you at the show. Maybe next time Tom and I will have a little more time to "hang" and blow the froth off a few.

I'm guessing it's got something to do with the way his split coil is constructed... at least currently. I do think it'd be better to unify the look on a given bass, however... so either find a way to expose the poles on the split J or just provide a covered version of the P. Purely minor aesthetics of course, but at this level of instrument, that needs to be served with some priority as well as function.
