U may be on to something- it's becoming a very popular request!
I'm guessing it's got something to do with the way his split coil is constructed... at least currently. I do think it'd be better to unify the look on a given bass, however... so either find a way to expose the poles on the split J or just provide a covered version of the P. Purely minor aesthetics of course, but at this level of instrument, that needs to be served with some priority as well as function.Why the sealed cover over the J pickup on the P/J bass is it an AC pickup or ?
