Spent some time last night with the LM. Wow, these LM's are fun basses. I absolutely love my LG's but I've always been an Ash/Maple guy. I can't believe it took me so long to get one.

I think I could be happy with an LG and LM -- and nothing else. Don't tell my wife I said that as she'll make me sell all my other stuff, but I think it's true!

That's says a lot Joel. You have some amazing basses!

Hey guys!! I just want to share my birthday gift.. Finally I have in my hands this red gorgeous LM5 Deluxe!! Now I know why this basses are so famous! Jimmy C. IS THE KING!! This LM5 have an amazing tone, playability, presence, this is a truly a men's bass!

I just have one question.. Is about the pickup bridge and neck volume... If I put the volume (in both pickups) all the way up there is cero noise at all, but if I lower one of them I can hear like a ground type of noise, but if I lower and match the volume of the other pick up the noise is gone. This is my first AC so probably I don't know how this pickups works. Can some one help me?

Nice LM, congratulations!
With single coil J bass pickups they are in effect a wide-field humbucking pickup when the output volumes are set equally. As soon as this balance is changed they become individual single coils and susceptible to 60 cycle hum. Try turning your physical position until the hum is minimized.

Mike! You and your videos are 93.5% responsible that I fell in love with this type of basses! Thanks a lot for the opinion you gave me comparing the AC vs Smith. I will be grateful to you my whole life man!! By the way... YOU ROCK MAN!!! Bendiciones!! :)

That's just the flash making it look like a matt finish that bass is hi gloss poly as well check the first shot...
It's actually very simple to make it matt if your courageous enough just go at it with some AAAA steel wool and water.Take your time the gloss will fade to a nice matt finish.
