I think it is coming back to Jimmy...
It easy for me that way..
My GF saw the Ave Maria bass and she freaked..
People will either love it or hate it... Just matters what i like.. And i know its lightweight..
if you have anymore photos send them to my email address.. would love to see it all around..
Is it punchy?

That's great news Kirk... That is one awesome bass, I now can actually picture myself playing it live... Anyone who thought it looked "funny" can say it to my face and we can deal with it. My wife loves it also, she had me take a few pics of her with it... And now that it's got flats on, it's even more awesome! Is your black one coming back to Jimmy? Or are you selling it on your own? I hope it comes back to the shop as I would love to check it out!

I will dig around for any and all photos I have of it and send them to you... And I've said it before, you will love the neck.
It is indeed very punchy, in my opinion... An ideal example of an A~C KBP sound!

Kirk, I finally got to play the crazy rainbow KBP5 when I visited Jimmy's shop a few weeks ago! Dude, bass is KILLIN!! It's super light, and there's something about the body that made it feel really thin, but in a good way. The tone was dark and fat and everything I've come to expect from a KBP5 and the thing practically played itself. Of course it had those multi color DR rounds on there (and I'm so used to flats on mine) so it was obviously harder to compare it to mine but based on the weight and feel alone I wanted it....now throw that insane paint job in and it's a done deal! I hope you cop it it's really a fantastic instrument that doesn't get the love it deserves cause it's too out there for the average AC lover....

Thank you Yohan Im looking forward to it.. It will get a nice home..

Thats what i wanted to hear.. Thank you Mitch.. I know what you mean by it plays itself .. This one may be lighter from what i understand.. I like light... And im out there so i think i will get along perfectly with that bass..... First time i saw it , i though what a cool one off piece that would look crazy on a gig... But what does it sound and play like..?? Thanks for the heads up!

I think i will leave the flats on there. .I asked Jimmy to save the Multi color strings for it though.. Sick!

Thank you for the word

Just spoke with jimmy... I am working it out to get the Ave Maria KBP5 bass... It has an Indian RW fingerboard which will be one less thing to think about while going through customs.
Most likely selling my Black Dalbergia RW KBP5 for it...

You hope it wont be a problem and so do i, some of the customs people are straight up IDIOTS. Congrats on your new baby.

Oh please, this is a small privately owned company. If you don't like it, don't do anymore business with him, but labeling what he did as 'crazy talk' is quite disrespectful to what HE believes. You may not want the image emblazoned on your bass which is fine, but don't label the cat for doing his thing.

I deleted my post. No offense meant. My only point was that it is best to keep controversial personal views out of one's business dealings, as feedback to the post asking for feedback on the logo. I could have stated that point a bit less harshly.

Oh geesh the world according to Ken.:D:rollno::D

Sadowsky website had an add honoring the great Steve Jobs after Mr. Jobs passed a few weeks ago. Some would consider that controversial.. Especially PC users or those that are not for the transhumanism agenda of which Jobs was working with. But Roger makes GREAT basses.. I love Roger and his great basses.. He could have a bass that smelled like pastrami and i would buy it it played great.

Companies mix personal ideas with 'business Every day! At least they do on Madison Ave in NYC. The worlds most extreme advertising center!

If Jimmy or Mr Sadowsky, Mr Lull etc. wanted to do a campaign to "Save the Polar Bears", and did so collectively with a decorative emblem on all their basses for one year, someone would think that is mixing personal views with business. TO some that is controversial.. Should they not do it? We have all seen commercials for Save this or Save that on HUGE companys adds campaigns.

Or what about all these sports guys wearing PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness... is it right according to you for them to mix their personal views of Breast Cancer Awareness , while messing their teams colors up by wearing Pink Socks on the field at a game? I say why not... If people didn't like it, they wouldn't buy season tickets..
My Motto, as I said in my other post "Truth Does Not Fear Investigation".
Jimmy can do as he wishes. he is not in business to please one person.. he is an artist and does it to please himself... You may not be able to understand that part of it, unless you are an actual artist yourself. Not you,, just saying in general.

Kirk can we just drop it my wife is the mainstream media. She and her colleagues spent countless hours and put themselves in grave danger reporting the events of that week.

It's ok to have different point of view but many of us just don't want a "point of view" on their very expensive instrument. Some do, let's leave it there.

But my major thing is that I lost two close friends on that day .
So i am in favor of the commemorator print on the basses as shown in my bass here.

I can't wait for MY KBP5 bigbody, which is nearing completion. Limeteal metallic with tortoise guard. It will rock. After talking with Jimmy will probably have the new imprint.
