As transparent as the AC pre is, it still yields the common characteristics of a buffered, active signal... namley slightly boosted high's and lows - thats why it sounds "clearer" in passive (more mids).

This is true wtih every preamp I've ever tried - ever.

+1 to this.

The big brown truck dropped this off today. Killer! :bassist:

Wanted to check in on our north east buddies. Joel, Mitch. You guys make out ok?

Hey Pete

We actually were really lucky -- like Mitch, we never lost power. We did lose phone, Internet, TV, and cell service but we just got those back last night. Some minor damage to the house.

Others around me didn't do as well. There are neighborhoods on either side of me that got ravaged. The areas south by the marina are completely under water. Really sad to see.

I hope you did ok where you are.

Just reluctantly put my LG5 Supreme w/ DG fingerboard up in the classifieds...

Dont worry though not leaving the gang - I have just a few months until I get my new AC:hyper::hyper::hyper:

WOW.....

Talking to Bass San Diego the other day and it was confirmed....

Dalbergia Negra ( Brazilian Rosewood-the real deal ) is

FINITO. :crying::crying:

Welcome aboard "Jimmywood"..whatever the Latin name is ? :hmm:

UGH....I STILL DONT HAVE POWER it went out last Sunday night around 2:00 am...;-(
Been running a generator so at least we have heat,,TV,Net, and some scattered table lamps here and there.Big problem is fuel, the lines are over 50 cars long and the generator uses 9 gallons every -12 hours is use...going 12 hours on and 12 off to conserve but now the temp is dropping and there calling for a Nor Easter this Wed...
Electric co says power will be restored no later the next Sunday....
Also have 4 HUGE 6 story evergreens down in my backyard 2 of which obliterated my fence and almost trashed my neighbors pool...

It is ugly spent some time yesterday helping friends in the flood areas. To say its a disaster is an understatement. People's lives piled on the front lawn, with fear of looting in some areas there is a curfew at night and national guard troops patrolling. And I'm only speaking of the nice neighborhoods. Cops have to keep control at the gas stations which I've seen 2 miles long.
