I have the last bass made in NYC, date stamped Dec 31, 2008
I'll be using it for both gigs this weekend!
Hey guys, I haven't been posting much since most of my time is consumed with not sucking at the contrabass, but I did cut an EWF track with my LG5 about a year ago where I slapped the verses (just got the mix). Even though she's alder/rosewood, I think she sits well in the mix, providing enough bottom for dancing while allowing for enough midrange cut, so I'm not invisible behind 7x2 horns. Slapping isn't really my thing and the mix is pretty chaotic, but what the hell? I love this bass, she's #74.
