Plenty of pictures of my LG and LM in the previous thread. To start things off, here's a picture and clip of my relatively new RA (an unusual 'RA Basic' with no blocks and binding purchased 'used as new' from Brian at the Low End). It's an alder body, maple board with high gloss finish, and 70's pickup placement.

And, since Jimmy's website can be a bit confusing to those looking at it for the first time (it seems to be a 'work in progress'), here's IMO the simplest way to think about the basses Jimmy makes:
LG... the classic 60's type J Bass spec... alder/RW/60's pickup position.
LM... the classic later 70's J Bass spec... ash/maple/70's pickup position
RA.... a transitional spec inspired by and loosely based on early 70's J models... alder body, maple board with high gloss finish and blocks and binding, 70's pickup position
1600.... basically a fancy top with about any spec you want regarding body wood, fretboard and pickup placement (someone in the know posted that the name was inspired by the address of Jimmy's original NY shop).
KBP..... passive P Bass baby!
(There is also an unusual 'Booker King' spec with a 'painted' ash neck... not sure what that is all about! There is one for sale in the classifieds currently).
All the 'sub models' are just various pre-packaged upgrades (nitro finish, matching headstock, super oldgrowth Rosewood, custom vintage bridge, custom paint jobs, etc., etc.).
All the basses come with Jimmy's in-house wound single coil J pickups, or in-house wound P pickups, and except for the P models, his proprietary two band preamp with passive tone control and bypass. All basses are the classic 34" scale (4's and 5's), and can be ordered with or without pickguard.

They are not cheap, but probably not as expensive as you think. They are a bit like the FBass line, in that the 'base' models are actually at the lower end of the boutique price range, but the 'upgrades' (fancy tops, Nitro, super old growth boards, blocks and binding, etc., etc.) can get wicked expensive.
I saw that on the site, but there isn't any info.
Again, so people's heads don't start to spin, for all practical purposes the base LG, LM or KBP (the 'classics') will make almost anyone who likes a more traditional tone quite happy at a 'relatively high but reasonable' price. IMO.

This is Jason Langley's old bass; he told me it was a "custom" but who knows, I'm always confused on the names.
Yes, it has 70s positioning, alder body, rosewood finger board, and I should have photographed the plate on the back... it has "Heart Breaker" etched on the serial number plate along with the serial number.
Nice! I assume that loosely falls under the '1600' custom spec. Alder/RW with 70's spacing is an unusual combination.
