Ok... so far the new stuff (at least that I've seen) seems to be:

* NF5 - no pics yet
* Maple boards on KBPs (ash bodies too?)
* Coated boards
* Sparkle finishes

They all look good to me. Can anyone confirm that any of the above are the extra-special NAMM outings?

Also... is that birdseye maple on the LBP J above?

Yes to all of your questions.
Also, the sunburst limited (btw the tele gtr & green bass) has a koa top.
The tele gtr is orange paisley, hand painted by Mrs. Coppolo who also winds all of the pickups.
There is a 5 str LG5 with a prism paint job that changes color with the light. (Behind the purple KPB4)
The fiesta red LG5 and Ice Blue LM (both in the pic with the black block RA5) are both part of Jimmy's new export line, the EU-T model, for sale internationally only. The body wood he used is called Primavera and will only be available on the exports.
To me & mitch, it sounds like alder with a sweet spot boost in the mids.
Speaking of Mitch, he bought my favorite bass of the show. A "root beer" brown LM5 that is absolutely killin!!! Since I'm not a maple/ash guy, there have been only 3 or 4 LM5's that Jimmy has made in 4 years that have knocked me out & this bass is one of them.
Congrats Mitch.
Oh, yeah ... The maple board KPB5 is Antigua !!!
There is a blue LG4 that has a sparkle finish.

This is all that my brain will let me remember without coffee ...

Hopefully somebody who attends the show today can fill in the blanks.

I'm back after a 20 page absence....been doin' a lot of reecording a a bit of gigging. wow...time for part 6 already...let's all agree to leave the great rosewood debate buried her in part 5......?..:rollno:....;)...the NAMM pics look great and that striped green LG is just amazing looking.....I've had an opportunity to listen to my friend Walter (we're still looking for his Modern 4:()play his LM-5....I'm convinced..that bass sounds as close to a late 70s J as I have ever heard and it's LIGHT and has a BadAss bridge........fantastic....if I buy another bass some day, it will be an lm-5 for sure.....can't wait for more pics..my bass is STILL magic..go Jimmy.....

I'm out of GAS money right now. But, a KPB5 might
be a nice addition. :help:

I want NF5 picks....!!!

....and what is the deal on the Int´l line??

Will they be distributed at local dealers in the rest of the world??

I´m in europe and I have never touched an AC!!

....but I love NYJIMMY´s work and Paul Turner´s tone... as well as my 65 bound doted matching head stock olympic white Jazz!

I´d buy a reasionably priced no frills 5er off the peg unseen.

....that´s gonna be a Master card # **** 6**** 7****
valid through 04/2010 you´d have to charge NYJimmy.

Cheers, from the rest of the worl participating in the AC mania!

....love you guys!

Is that a CAR RA-5 with a Rosewood board? Or a LM either way thats new....... that's a combo I've been waiting to see a mid late 70's jazz ash body five with a rosewood board.

Yes, it's an RA5. There's a purple one there too on the left with just dots, no blocks & binding ... and it has the bent plate.

Jimmy has made 2 natural ash/rosewood 5's with 70's spacing in the last 4 months. One was at bass player live. Both were killin'. They were huge sounding basses, most likely because the ash was on the heavy side, pushing 10 lbs.
I love that sound ... Like a '78 Jazz.
