I used a rig similar to yours for many years back in the day.... a sealed 15" Sound City cab and an 18" loaded Cerwin Vega ported cab. Worked pretty well. Neither cab sounded particularly good alone (mostly midrange coming out of the sealed cab and mostly low end coming out of the Vega), but together it sounded good.... just about as good as a single CN212 today:p:D

Seriously though, nice rig. That head looks pretty cool!

Ampeg SVT CL
Bergantino NV610 sealed cab

Definitely not the most flashy or unique, but couldn't have asked for a better sound.
Can't wait until I can pick up my new G&L L-2K and [DEL]begin[/DEL] complete the process of destroying my apartment.

Edit: Don't mind the terrible book(s) in the background. This wasn't taken at my house.

Just ordered me a HD-212 from BCC. I will be using it with a Mesa Walkabout for now. But It was not an easy decision i went back and forth on the HD or CN . But finally decided on the HD , weight isn't too much of a big deal for me and I was afraid of agressiveness of the CN. I may even plug my Mesa m9 Into it and give it a full 700watts of thumping. So anyway thats my story... ;-)
Pics soon......

The M-9 should sound fantastic with this cab.. I previously had one with 2 HT-112ER's, great rig....:hyper:

CN212 with my M9 was glorious. I have a HD112 and it is fatter for sure. Guys here warned me to watch the lows from the M9 so I sometimes used the FDeck HPF for peace of mind. When I didn't have it, dropping the far left EQ slider all the way down was almost the same

If you want to get away cheap for a cover for your HD112. The cover for a Mesa WA Scout works really well. Cutout for the handle is exact. I used one until my Berg cover came in a month or so later. Ya still have to flip it though.

Nobody wants the handle on top if it is in the way but I think if the top was routed the handle could be recessed nicely. Sure it costs more but we are already paying top dollar for boutique cabs

Hey guys! Looking to join this club soon! I've got a 72 Ampeg v4 that I love the tone of, but through my aguilar S-410, starts distortion right about noon on the dial, which is right before I'd like at band volumes. Its just not quite loud enough for the majority of my gigs. People who have used these amps with the NV610's and the NV412's, is one of those cabs powerful enough for mid-sized venues with only the 100 watts from the V4? Thanks!

hey, I did search but did not find any matches.
Is anyone using a GK MB 800 Fusion (one with the tube pre) into a Berg CN212 ?

I currently use a 300w Walkabout into my CN212 and really love it, but have been wondering how things would go if I was able to feed the CN212 more power.

FWIW, I am also looking hard at the Mesa Prodigy (250w) and Strategy (465w) amps to go with the Berg too.

so, anyone using this combination - GK + CN212 - care to report ?

thanks

I'm working on building the same rig so I'd be interested in hearing the opinion of others as well. I own 2 Bergantino AE112B's and just took delivery of an MBF800. The fusion really brings the AE's life. And WOW is it powerful! I play a Wal MK3 and I have to keep the -10 DB pad engaged, it's that hot! Much different than playing through my Streamliner.
Unfortunately, the fusion must get returned since I discovered the treble "push" feature will not engage. I'm also debating if I should take the CN212 plunge since the AE sound so good. Decisions, decisions!
