Thanks! I kinda prefer the smaller "ball" on the Ball shape, but it does look nice with the rounded "butt" so that's worth considering...
I had to have the rounded butt... I didn't like the way the notch looked in that.
Very nice! It seems like there are a lot of builds (including yours!) that I saw a few in-progress shots of on FB or IG, but never saw the completed instrument, so it's great to see that one!
Cliff just had a birthday recently, and I told him I was still loving my Ball 5. Nothing custom about it's shape, but it's just a superb instrument. Ash body, figured walnut top, roasted birdseye board.
I absolutely love the look of this Pistachio wood that Cliff is using to make fingerboards:
Sweet! What's the top on that one? I've seen one headstock in the current batch that looks kind of like tulipwood, but I could be totally wrong!
