Well, seems like Mr. C and I have finalized the details for #189, the 6 string fretted that is being built for me.
The body will be Swamp Ash wings on a Mahogany center block, Limba top, Mahog/Maple neck, Ebony board. 34" scale, 24 frets, with Bart CBs and NTMB 3 band eq. The last detail was the pickup placement, and I decided on 28.5" for the neck and 31.25 for the bridge (from the nut). Basically the same relative spacing as my Zon TJ6 but half an inch closer to the neck.
Here's the rough layout of the top, I asked Tom to just throw the hardware on it to help me pick a top. Looking forward to this one!
This is going to be a very interesting sounding bass very round ans warm sounding with some top end clarity, me thinks!
