500 + shipping from Asia... so I'm pretty sure it won't be that. But I'd love something that's flaming between light and dark.... macassar or Jacaranda... or something else. Time will show. I think hunting is part of the beauty of this process. So I don't really mind hunting a little on and off for half a year (will try not to drive Mr. Clement crazy, though)

Mr Walker- for the light & dark thing, think ziricote. Can also be pretty expensive but it often has the contrast you're talking about.

Would really love to see that shape worked out on a single necked bass too, it's kinda alien and elegant in the same breath.

I think this is more or less the Ryan shape altered Looks that way by the lower horn, just hollowed out the upper horn.
And I think that looks super sweet... and headless... and with this small body, must be an ergonomic wonder!!!!

Very Status-like IMHO. Just look at the contours at the back edge of the bridge. The upper horn is a huge difference though.

personally I think t's quite close to the bunny brunel bass. I like the slender shape and the soft feminine lines. just learned from tom that the double neck is being started, with hipshot hardware. so clement basses are finally losing their head???? lol

I imagine you need to allow access to the knobs at the back end of the bridge - hence the cut into the body. Most of the headless I have seen are like this - the other option is something like this -

which seems like a load more work, for no aesthetic gain.

I really like that back end cut out, I think thats why I dig the ergo and Felicia shape so much, as they have something similar.

It's also a bit like a Sei Flamboyant - but with a more organic (less pointy) feel!
