Club Clement (Part 5: Post your basses here)

So, it's been 2 days since the arrival of #251 and all I can say is WOW. Really...........WOW
Great sound - I was really curious how a Piezo only solid body would respond. Not disappointed!
Exceptional feel & balance - Smooth comfortable neck, and I had Tom thin down and shape the body more than usual to balance out the Maple core and Port neck. The Lise is a great size and shape for a solid. I'm surprised there aren't more out there.
Wonderful details - Woods work great together, accent line followed through on the knobs as well.

Just not sure if I want to use a ramp and cover the grain. Anyone ever try a plexi or lexan ramp?

Congratulations! Great looking bass! And I'm glad she sounds great, too!

No 89 is the first Lise Tom built, and she's a regular in my jazz combo. Balances superbly and is awesome to play. Its also the first chambered bass from Tom even if she has no sound holes. And she's got the piezos like yours.

Your Lise is a completely different instrument when it comes to woods. It looks stunning. I'm sure she'll give you another dimension! Enjoy!

Cheers all! Of course Tom deserves all the credit (he made many decisions while I was out of pocket) I just chose the wood and shape.

Once I can navigate without lines I'll get some something together.

On that note, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing all of the recent Clement projects. :bassist:

Thought I would drop by and say "hey" to all you Clement owners. I'm in the process of figuring out a build, hoping to have it nailed down soon. Currently, the plan is Kim style body, swamp ash with cherry top, maple neck with wenge stripes. Haven't even started to figure out the electronics. It doesn't help that I can be a bit indecisive, LOL.
