Wow! What a neck! Last time I saw a board like that it had a shark bite taken out of it and a surfer had gone missing. Monstrous! :hyper:

Like the grain enhancement, turned out very clean and classy. Great job.

So did the series wiring turn out to be better for you with the pickup?

@GBM: Congratulations!!! That just looks awesome, GBM!! How does she play? She's the big sister of my Tundra IV :-) Same recipe, just nearly twice the amount of strings! :D

@pitbill: Sunbeams are great strings! The same feeling as the HiBeams, really, just a slightly little bit warmer sounding. I like them a lot. Next to the HiBeams, they are my favourite strings!

I restrung my double neck a few days ago, with DR HiBeams and tuned both parts E-C. It just sounds amazing! I have a busy schedule these days, so haven't been able to get any more recordings underway. But will look at it this weekend :-)

Thanks all. She plays like a fretless. the flat FB is different and I m getting used to it. It is perfect for me. the 19 mm spacing works great!!! The Benavente pup is a single coil stacked HB and is quite typical of that type pup. Works great for fretless. When looking at the photobucket - hit the little green slideshow area for all 53 pics if you care to. Works better than trying to pick each photo. We are still getting used to each other famously. OH and she is NOT too big - just right. Thanks. Peace to all. david

Thanks to all for the kind words. So many stated concern for the ergonomics of this bass for me and for that I am grateful. Just wanted y'all to see that it all came together quite nicely. Tom's masterful craftsmanship made it happen. Don't be afraid to dream. Ask and ye shall receive. seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door will be open for you.
Come on in the playing is just fine.
Peace. david

Looks like we all on cruise control through all the year end festivities. May all your children have happy parents. Hannukah has begun, Christmas is this Sunday. My Momma's birthday is 31st. My wedding anniversary is next week (she got a new watch). 2012 is the day after Momma's b/day. And 2 bdays for chlldren in January. I will have to play #256 for all of these occasions!!! :D:D:D:D:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:
Y'all have fun :hyper: May every one have ample opportunities to play your "C" basses to your heart's desire in what ever manner you do.
Peace. david

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of my Clement bass friends!
I hope the new year brings lots of new Clement players into the fold, and I hope that the existing ones get a load of cool gigs!!

Best,
Jon :-)

kjpollo,
That 7 stringer is amazazing!!!
How is it tuned and what kind of strings are you using??
Thanks, Ken.
Tuning = F#BEADGC
Circle K and D'addario nickle strings are what I use. I don't remember which particular strings were on that day. I have to have Circle K for the 166 gauge F# though at all times.
