257 got it's first coats of poly yesterday.

The color is turning out pretty awesome. Alot more of that "fire" aspect like you are saying than I imagined it would have.

So what is the countdown to "Darlene" now? The hours are ticking backward now. I know you probably have sentry's posted at the four corners of your house awaiting the delivery truck! :D

Congrats on that great bass. Those electronics were a great choice for all around tones. That is a keeper.
This what I sent Tom yesterday:
Sorry for the delay. Yes, have #256 in hand. Thanks. Sounds great even in parallel which I changed over to series humbucking. Should give more output and growl. No disappointments. Tore her down and doing a grain enhancement. Played out today in winter concert with #122. Pumped, went well. Just applied one coat of poly will wait 2 hours and apply another. That is enough for me. reassemble in the morning after buffing and see how the pick up in series roars out. O, the spacing is most natural even in chording. The wenge FB is just fantastic. Thanks. Will let you know more of course as we go along. Peace. david
