Yes that #255 tylerwylie is beautiful. Love that body wood.

Yeah Godsbassman, I noiced how he calls us "boss". Just thought it was a southern thing at first, but then I caught on to what he was doing. ;) And, yeah, it is a nice feeling.

I think Nofretz6 the diamondwood was just something Tom had using as a table leg for one of his broken down work benches in a corner somewhere...nah, just kidding. Actually, I don't know where Tom got it from, but I have had a fretless in the past with a nearly identical looking diamondwood board and I can testify that it was about as hard as a board can be. I don't recall hardly any string markings left at all with rounds. I think the bloodwood lines really contrasts with the dark board in a nice way. Not too "jump out at you" flashy and not too dark to barely be noticed. Great job on that idea Tom.

Alright, everything is moving. Looks all nice, as usual. Marvelous is a better description, in fact. Never seen an ugly C-bass. 9 more to go after these 2 lucky ones, before Tom can start on mine. I will have #266.
@GBM + Mr. Walker: the high peep tone in #217 is probably just feedback. Did a test with a Fender and he makes the same peep when too close to the amp, with high volume. I' m really ashamed that I didn't thought of this myself earlier. Never had it before neither. The humming of the magnetic pickups is also a normal symptom. The tech checked it with some other pups and the Fender did it too. If volume on the amp and the bass is high, they start humming. Sorry to have bothered you with such an obvious trick but thanks anyway for the kind help. At least I learned something.

Don't feel too bad. After I had my basses for a while I noticed a slight hummmmmm that would go away if I touched the bridge or switch. Thought it was a loose wire at first, then maybe the cable, then interference from nearby electronics. Finally realized my outlets aren't grounded. :rollno:

Ah, yes. the Jimi Hendrix effect. Love it in the right context. Cool at least was nothing wrong...

Absolutely don't feel bad about this! Afterall... the technician apparently didn't chime in on it, why should you? He's the expert!

I'm just happy everything is sorted out and that you're not having a major electronic issue! :hyper:

Yup on that one more night out with Tom.
And here it is in a single Mono case. Just a regular bass that looks big. I image it has big attitude. Ship out tomorrow towards SC and bingo I got it. :hyper:

Pitbill,
That's gonna be one sweet ride, brother!!! :bassist:
I'm loving me some Diamond & Bloodwood! I think 262's Myrtlewood Phoenix top will complement that combination well. Let us all know how that baby handles, she's a keeper :D

That piece of myrtle wood you picked out for #262 is a pretty one indeed with a very unique grain pattern. I contemplated that one myself before I chose the redwood. That will be a very pretty combination with the diamondwood board.
