I like mass. The greater the mass the greater the gravitational attraction.

Just had twenty minutes on my JoAnne, and to me, its just the ultimate bass

I'm not 100% certain about all the pickups... *lol* but I *think* the specs are as follows. All have 34" scale length except the guitar, obviously, and the double neck (thanks fretless_guy!)
#069: 4-string Ryan with Swamp ash body, maple neck, bloodwood fingerboard, Schaller tuners and roller bridge, Nordstrand 4.2 pickup, no electronics.
#114: 6-string Jon with Swamp ash body, maple neck, bloodwood fingerboard, Hipshot bridge w/Ghostec piezos, Alumitone pickups, Hipshot tuners, Bartolini piezo/magnetic buffer. The body on this is a little unique, as it's bookmatched on both sides. Tom cut the slab in four pieces, bookmatched the front and back separately, and then glued it together. It replaced my 35" #076.
#110: 4-string Jay66 with Swamp ash body w/sycamore old age top, Status graphite neck, Schaller roller bridge and tuners, Nordstrand Big Singles (or Stacks... not sure), Nordstrand preamp w/passive tone control.
#089: 4-string Lise with Mahogany chambered body core w/black limba back and koa top with black accent lines, shedua neck with stabilized ash fingerboard, Hipshot tuners, Hipshot/Ghostec piezo equipped bridge, Bartolini piezo/magnetic buffer, Aguilar OBP-3 preamp wired for 18V, passive tone control for the piezo alone.
#250: 6-string Jon/Anne hybrid body shape (hence nick name "JoAnne") White limba body with macassar ebony top, maple neck w/birdseye maple fingerboard, fretted, hipshot headless system, Nordstrand birdseye maple covered Big Splits, Aguilar OBP-3 preamp wired 9 V. Amazingly versatile and ergonomically perfect instrument!
#169: 5-string Phoenix fretless, mahogany body core, heavily chambered, spalted maple top, maple neck with wenge stringers, pale moon ebony fingerboard (truly amazing piece of wood!!!), Q-tuner pickup, Hipshot/ghostec piezo bridge, Hipshot tuners, Stellartone tone control, Bartolini piezo/magnetic buffer.
#XXX: Guitar prototype based on the Ryan body shape, swamp ash body with a nitro finish (that caused a few grey hair in Tom's head, I'm sure!), Warmoth maple/rosewood neck, Hipshot tuners and bridge, Nordstrand ndc humbuckers, a great guitar that sounds awesome!
#135: 6-string Anne fretted, chambered (the first one), swamp ash body with spanish cedar top, mahogany neck with bubinga stringers (I think), macassar ebony fingerboard, Bartolini pickup (don't know which model), Hipshot/ghostec piezo bridge, Hipshot tuners, Bartolini piezo/magnetic buffer, stellartone passive tone control. Sounds very acoustic and mellow!
#211: Fretted/fretless 32" Willow, swamp ash body wings on mahogany core, redwood top (amazing!), 2x mahogany neck with macassar ebony fingerboards, 2x Hipshot headless systems, Nordstrand Big Singles (Tom, correct me if I'm wrong!!), Nordstrand 3-band preamp w/passive tone control.
My family is versatile and covers everything... even the needs that i don't even know I have yet!
