Ok, please excuse the crappy playing! :D

there! :D

Mr. Walker,
Did you need a wide angled lens for that shot.? lol . I really like the playing on your youtube channel and the quality of execution is just fine. That headless bass has a nice very clear tonal quality to it. Very nice, indeed. Got the doubleneck promo coming I presume .

Mr Walker - I see no 'Ergo' in you collection....

You going to rectify that? Or am I putting unwanted ideas in your head!!!

YOU are looking forward to first contact?... you should see my brain wave patterns.

I can relate! :D
It's one huge massive bass, that one, and really looking forward to seeing it finished and in use! And hearing it! Exciting!

When do you expect her to arrive?

#256 shipment projected for Friday this week. I think I will have it Monday. I have Monday / Tuesday off for a Winter concert here in town in evening times. I should be able to get some good play time on #256 during the day Tuesday. Will be playing #122 redwood for that concert. Look so forward to getting use to #256 - named "Darlene" (after my wife).
I need to learn the webcam / youtube thing for my channel for y'all. Somebody round here has got to have what I can borrow to do it with.
Looking forward to finishing this bass myself in a natural but black filled grain pores motif. I wonder what it will sound like. I know (this being my 3rd Clement) what Tom can do. So I wait patiently in ecstatic expectancy in the receiving of such a great bass.
Much Peace to all. david

Great for the both of you!!!!! :-)

Had a little time with my double-neck yesterday, we played through some live looping stuff, but we need to get aquianted with each other properly before we are ready to go live! :D

In case anyone is wondering how #257 is coming along, Tom sent me a few progress pics. I decided to go with Mr.Walker's suggestion on pickup placement ala' Warrior Bass style, with the Nordstrand MM in the Music Man "sweet spot" with a Nordie Jazz pickup at the bridge. Should be interesting to hear how it turns out. I'm really liking how the the diamondwood fingerboard is looking with the bloodwood lines. Also, I think it ended up with some nice grain on the back as well.

I've got to say that Tom really keeps you informed and feeling like you are right there with him as he works on your bass. It's nice to even be included in some of the small detail choices like knob layout and placement and hardware options. At times I feel like I should be helping him hold a saw or sander or something. :smug:

Here is the progress from just the last few days:

Really nice pics, pitbill and Mr. Tom,
It is called the Clement experience. You are in the driver's so to speak and Tom is the engine. Notice he calls us "Boss"? Cool feeling huh? Thats gonna be a really nice bass you know. Enjoy the ride.
